Hi, I’m Kayleigh!

I’m a freelance designer and illustrator based in Rhode island.

Before branching off to work on my own, I worked as a Designer and Art Director in children’s book publishing at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, and Little, Brown Books for Young Readers. I have experience working on picture books, young adult novels, graphic novels, activity books, and licensed properties. My favorite types of projects are the ones that involve die-cuts, pop-outs, sticker sheets, scratch art, or activity pages. Anything that involves a little something extra is my cup of tea. (If there is foil and glitter involved: sign. me. up.) I’m also experienced in novel cover design, interior book layouts (4 color or 1 color), brand design, and character design.

I love color, asking people about their astrological signs, Lisa Frank, Little Golden Books, 90’s pop music, swingsets, blankets with sleeves, Miss Piggy, cloud watching, jokes that aren’t at anyone’s expense, good news, and buying new art supplies.
